Mars Food UK invited me to set up the School Grounds Development Programme to enable their Associates to volunteer in the local community. Over the course of 5 years I liaised with schools, nurseries and even a hospice, to design new elements for their grounds or renewing existing structures, procure supplies and project manage from start to finish. 

Nearly 300 volunteers from the company worked in 22 settings over the lifetime of the programme, benefiting thousands of children, improving biodiversity and providing a huge range of outdoor facilities from allotments to a sensory path and even a stage.
